Letter to the Squadron:
Dear Civil Air Patrol Friends,
I have flown high enough to see the sky start to go dark and the planets appear in the day time.
I have flown low enough to see the
altimeter register a -100 feet
(and did not get wet!).
I have flown the world and sometimes seen beauty beyond belief.
And just this morning. Lt Ratzlaff and I got to see F 15 Eagles up close and personal as we flew our target sortie over our local foothills with a backdrop of the glistening Sierra Nevadas.
This is your invitation to join us as pilots who have the privilege of experiencing the world from the air!
The Private Pilot Course starts this Tuesday, 14 Jan at 1800 (6pm) in the large class room at Squadron 112. (911 South Chance, Fresno)
This course is for both Cadets and Seniors.
If you aspire to be a pilot or a CAP aircrew, you should take this training.
There is much to learn so we will be meeting Tuesdays until June 2020.
We will go from 1800 to 2030 with at least one break in the middle.
We will have the flight sim open after 1600 on Thursdays to give you an opportunity to practice what you have been learning.
Do bring a notebook and pen.
There will be a few other items that you will need to purchase.
Do bring a good jacket as you know that our heating system is non-existent!
AIM HIGH!
