Retired U.S. Navy crew chief and Vietnam War era U.S. Army veteran team up on Art project in Central Valley
Art and Creativity.
One thing can lead to the next. . .
WHO:
John Balas, Retired U.S. Navy crew chief is spending his time combating loneliness with patience and inspiration from God.
As he got frustrated about the next step of this project,
something kept telling John to keep going. . .
"Don't give up."
It became the theme of the Artwork.
Persistence.
Patience.
Seeking inspiration from Higher.
Mr. Balas also serves as a Senior member of
Squadron 112 Civil Air Patrol
in Fresno, California.
WHAT:
He has built a WW1 Bi-Plane model from his old coffee cups, that he had accumulated during the COVID-19 lockdown started in early 2020.
Now. A volunteer is currently creating a finished image with many variations for John:
POSSIBILITIES
nice border added, WW1 Fact added to the image, Names of pilots, Model of the plane, etc. . .
John Balas would love to see this Art commissioned and used as Murals to support a Patriotic theme. These final images would look cool on shirts, coffee mugs, and much more merchandise.
WHY:
. . . to inspire future generations.
This type of creativity comes from within. It would be hard to hire a marketing company to come up with this story. John Balas invested months of his life building something, from a pile of cups and waste. . .
This might inspire thousands of more versions of this?
Within the short time that this project has existed I have seen many thought proviking conversations started. I have seen dignity and happiness in the eyes of Mr. John Balas when discussing his plane with others.
Creating gives people self-worth.
Creating inspires others.
Creating helps people connect.
Creating relives stress.
Creating is a good way to deal with mental health stress.
The outcome is limitless. . . .
A new yearly competition?
